Winsford Flash Sailing Club is situated on Winsford Flash just south of Winsford, which is just about as close as you can get to the centre of Cheshire.
The 'Flash' itself is a 90-acre lake situated in rural surroundings by the River Weaver.

The Club has ample car and dinghy parking space. Launching is by concrete slipways, which, combined with the fixed jetties, provide one of the most civilized dingy launching facilities in the North West. However, for those who like getting their feet wet, there is a gravel launching 'beach'.

The Clubhouse is a modern, two-storey, centrally-heated building with spacious clubroom, bar/lounge area, changing rooms with showers and a well-equipped galley.

During the sailing season, we have organised racing on Sundays and on Wednesday evenings. While Wednesday evening races tend to be more relaxed, all Club races are open to all ability levels. You'll find a warm welcome and good, competitive sailing whether you're a beginner or a champion.
The main clubroom and bar/lounge area overlook the lake so that spectators can enjoy the sailing as much as the participants (sometimes more). The Club has a reputation for being family-friendly and, in addition to the sailing programme; we have an active social calendar.

We offer members a range of training activities for juniors and adults - ranging from basic training and race training to safety boat handling and race management.

The Club has a number of training boats, two safety boats and a committee boat for race management.
